Please understand that dough bowls are naturally rustic. Each bowl is hand carved in Mexico by their original artisan. The bowls are crafted from large solid pieces of wood. Characteristics such as variations in the wood color, texture, or gradient are normal and expected. Also naturally occurring knots and small hairline fissures that do not impact the integrity of the product are also normal. Every bowl will be different and assume its own characteristics, this is the primitive beauty of wood and our favorite part of working with dough bowls. Each bowl is unique and tells a story.
